The Matrix Effect

Yes u have all heared about the matrix movies and its trilogies and its revolutionary effects. But this is about taking it to whole new level. Have you ever experienced "The Matrix Effect" real life?
People say that this all could be bull crap but it happened. (sounds dramatic.. but let me get to my point). Today i was walking to the supermarket, it was raining, the roads were wet it was 5:00pm so every body was in a hectic to go home. i was with my umbrella near the light crossing. i was waiting for the red man to turn green and spread his legs so i can cross the street, thats when i saw the cars passing infront of me and this one car came from a block away trying to catch the green light. Thats when it happend. Every thing litterly slowed to snails pace. the red car whic was trying to catch the green light driven by a chinese lady, and the white car slowly going with the flow of traffic also driven by a chinses lady. (man there are lot of chinise ladies around).
I could see that the red car cant stop in time for the traffic. as it slowly sped to its crash course, i looked at the white car, the lady was unexpectantly driving the car unaware of what is going to happen in the next few seconds. then i looke at the red car and i saw the horro in the face of the driver as she realised that its too late. (this all happend in slow motion and zoomed up camera angles.. i cant explain).
then the inevitable happened. the red car lady screamed before it crashed. the white car lady didnt even expect it. the two cars collided. the red car rear ending the white car.the heaad lights exploded. u could literally see the impact blast and the explosive glass shatter outwards. the small reminants of the once headlights and rear lights hovered slowly in the air as it sprayed across the road. and the two drivers jerked fowards.
Then it all ended. it was back to normal pace. the shattered glass sprayed with clatter the traffic also slowed down, and the red man turned green. i crossed the street looking at the devastation. no one was hurt fortunately. just a typical rear ending. But i stil lthink about the fact hy i saw all of it happen?
why the hell did it all slow down? mind games... u never know...!!

You know this is like one of those things that you never thought would happen .. but it did. Actor Christopher Reeves, also known as superman died at a ripe age of 57.

I would have to say that non of the other superman actors even compare with Reeves. well its myu opinnion anyway. lets just say that its a sad day for mankind. we jhave lost a real hero.[more]

Ah, Glorious Spring.

hmmm the smooth and warm spring. season of bloom and love. birds chirping. bees buzzing, and hay fever...
blasted hay fever. just when u think everything is going really cool u get hayfever. " its common" they say, "itll be all over less than a week" they said. BAH!!! i feel awful. im cold and my temperatures goin up. i keep sneezing non stop. theres nothing glorious about spring...
it may be really nice and sunny oneday and rainy and unhillariously bitter cold the next day. cant mother nature make up its mind???
i think natures going through some tough mood swings. and not only the hay fever what about the sweeping birds. yes birds sweep from the sky and attack on unsuspecting pedestrians. "no dont harm them, the birds are just defending their territory, they have babies to protect" thats what the people on tv says. if u ask me i would probably kill each and every bird i see even if they are harmless or dead lying on the street. spit on the birds corpses.

any ways here is last months poll on what u guys thought of your fav. tv series should be.

yes and the winner is SMALLVILLE by 42%. in the second the three sisters of charmed celbrates with 25% of the votes. in third we have the new series THE OC. In fourth we have two winners, LAW AND ORDER and DARK ANGEL. and at the least we have THE PRACTICE. hmm i guess no one likes the practice.

any way this months poll is about where u would go out to eat so dont be shy vote. i dont care if u vote a thoudand times just vote.ok cool
bandey citizens u all are great people. :D

Gods and Magnifying glasses

Well i know its a weird combination. i got this idea while i was playing "antcity". Its about a huge magnifying glass and the unsuspecting people of a utopian city. whist u go around burning people dogs and cars like small ants.. thats when i realised i felt a lot like god. powerful and invincible. i can create havoc and be as merciful as i please...

Bwahahahahahaaa.... the glorious feeling of immortality. The quench for power....
and....HEY..why is my ass burning???....

Political Storm

Aahh politics.... in Greek "poly" means "many" and "ticks" mean "blood sucking insects"
Yes... but what can be done it seems to be like a new fad for us now...anything to do with politics would be a the MCP (maldivian caffine party) humour is unavoidable.
The trend seems to be flowing. Before it used to be restaurants.. every body must own a restaurent... then there was the sudden rise in haabaru kadas and cafe's.So the question is what will be next? "mushimas beynun?". recycling???. how about something healthy like yogapilates?

Wednesday, September 15, 2004 laaassst...

Stargazers gather for Venus transit

Stargazers gather for Venus transit

Stargazers in Sydney and around the world gathered at observatories and huddled by telescopes Tuesday to watch a small dark disc creep across the face of the sun in one of the rarest of celestial spectacles - a transit of Venus.

The sight had special significance for Australians - this country's east coast was "discovered" by British explorer James Cook on his way home from viewing the 1769 transit in Tahiti.

Planetariums the world over - from India's eastern city of Bhubaneswar to New York City - set up telescopes with the solar filters needed to watch the event, while two observatories in Spain's Canary Islands planned to use the transit to recalculate the distance between the earth and sun.

A blue sky over Sydney gave about 40 people looking through telescopes at the city's observatory a clear view of the transit as it began mid-afternoon. Telescopes were set up on lawns and inside, while an image of the transit was projected onto a white screen for safe viewing.

"Venus is just marching into the sun," said Andrew Constantine, an education officer at the observatory. "It's very exciting."

But in many places clouds obscured the show, with observatories in Japan reporting rain and the transit coinciding with the cloudy monsoon season in Thailand.

It also was cloudy in Hong Kong, but that didn't stop more than 100 people, including students, senior citizens and children, queuing up at the Hong Kong Space Museum, where several telescopes were waiting.

Keith London, an amateur astronomer who lives at the foot of the Mt. Lofty Ranges in southern Australia, hosted a transit party and invited his neighbours to watch the show through his telescope thanks to a filter he had shipped from the United States specially for the event.

"We are going to have a transit party and everyone who isn't working is coming over," he said, adding he would hold off on sipping too much wine until the sun had set.

"You must never drive a telescope under the influence," he cautioned before the event started.

In Thailand, hundreds of people flocked to observatories across the country. But an overcast sky disappointed many.

Many people in predominantly Buddhist Thailand believe in astrological implications of planetary movements, especially rare ones.

"The Venus eclipsing the sun means that Venus will gain huge power, but the power will have a negative affect on finance and love," Phingyo Phongchareon, a well known astrologer, was quoted as saying in an interview with the Matichon newspaper.

In Beijing, the Ancient Observatory on the Chinese capital's east side set up a slide show to explain the phenomenon to visitors and had telescopes to watch the transit.

Transits of Venus occur twice - eight years apart - about every century, when the sun, Venus and Earth precisely line up. Past transits - the last pair were in 1874 and 1882 - helped astronomers calculate Earth's distance from the sun. This time, Tuesday's transit and one in 2012 carry little scientific significance, but they've still stirred up plenty of interest.

character of the month - Goku

character of the month - Goku

Goku is the hero of Dragon Ball Z, the most powerful warrior on earth and the first to become Super Saiyan in over 1000 years. When the Saiyans arrive, Goku learns the mysterious secret of his own past: he is a Saiyan formerly named Kakarot. Goku was sent to Earth as a baby to grow up and destroy the planet, but a head injury as a child scrambled Goku?s programming. Instead of growing up to become a destructive super-warrior, he became innocent and pure of heart, fighting for good.

Goku is peaceful, good natured, honest, loving to his family and friends, loyal, trustworthy, brave. If he has a weakness, it is his trusting nature. He always finds the "good" in people when others don't see it, though Goku?s enemies sometimes take advantage of his naive trust. He originally trained under Master Roshi and wears his symbol until he trains under King Kai, whose symbol he wears. Goku grows up and marries Chi-Chi. Together they have two sons: Gohan and Goten.

KAMEHAMEHA - an energy attack launched with both hands from his side, taught by Master Roshi

KAIO-KEN - boosts power level turning Goku red-hot, taught by King Kai

SPIRIT BOMB - an enormous attack drawing energy from all living things, taught by King Kai

if only the mind was a remote...

if only the mind was a remote...

Okay this maybe a little bit stupid to be hearing the first time. but its is actually a real good fact. think of all the time you can save looking for your remote. just look at the tv and think of the channel u want to watch...bzzt..!! then u see cnn or sum other news blast. wouldnt that be cool..!!
We can apply this concept not only for televison, but all other electronic equipment. Like doors for example. how many times u wish thata door would open automatically just by wishing for it. some thing like alibaba u know.. the "open sesame" thing. and door bells
u can ring the bell before u arrive at the door so when u reach the door a person would be there to answer. Wouldnt that be exciting. which brings to another discussion. Security!. u might wonder if all the doors open to every ones command theres no point putting them. no privacy. u know what i mean. its like ur house for example. you wouldnt want just anybody opening the door. so we have to set it to a particular brain pattern. so it would only recognise yuor brain waves or the individual u want the door to be opened to.
If this was able to apply to people think of the possibilities. imagine sitting in a boring lecture theater. u hear the guy blabber on and on about a disecting a mad goat so u can search internally for its spleen to make the ultimate futuristic juice. crap on that. mute him! better yet change the channel to your favourite movie or make it exciting like football or soccer or sumthing. yeah just imagine the possibilities ey...
So if you have any other suggestion you can do with your mind brain please comment about it.:D

Interior Desiging Projects....
DesignEX Project : Groundless Ground

Our brief stated that we should make a presentation for the annual designex competition on the basis of "Groundless ground"

[click on picture to view larger image]

We were givin a breif by our unis students who are doing a tv show to create a backdrop for their show... so in gorups of 3 we manage to do all of this in 3 weeks...

[click on picture to view larger image]

Its my first model so its a bit dodgey. basically we were to design an "Ergonomically" enhanced childrens shoe shop meaning all the things should be user friendly. so i did and came up with the rotating pillars idea instead of the ususal shelves for display...

[click on picture to view larger image]

because we were interior designing students some students from singapore came to look at how our syllbus was taught. That day the teachers thought that we should have a fun creative day they gave us huge plywood pencils, paint tubes and paint brushes to paint on. so here are some of the work i did.
